Tuesday Elite Customers,

With the threat of frozen precipitation overnight and temperatures below freezing in the morning, we are delaying the start of our routes by 2 hours to allow the drivers to run the routes after sun-up.

Please remember that Thursday, November 26, 2020, service will be performed on Friday and Friday, November 27, 2020, service will be performed on Saturday.

The office will be closed from Wednesday, November 25, 2020, to Sunday, November 29, 2020.

11-13-2020 - IMPORTANT SERVICE UPDATE

We have the compactor truck back, but it still needs a little work done. We are running both Friday routes as normal today. Our Wednesday Forsyth County route and Thursday's Lumpkin/Dawson County route will be run tomorrow (Saturday).

11-11-2020 - IMPORTANT - SERVICE DELAYED

The truck that runs our Forsyth County route was involved in an accident this afternoon. Our driver and slinger were not injured, but we will not be able to complete today's route.

 

I will be reaching out to everyone affected by email or telephone shortly.

 

We will let Thursday and Friday's routes know about the status of their service ASAP.

 

Please bear with us as we try to navigate this setback.

 

11-02-2020 -  **UPDATE!!**

Due to Hurricane Zeta, there were a great many stops that were either inaccessible or unserviceable on Thursday and Friday's routes. Our drivers worked late into the evening on both days and a full day on Saturday to try to get to everyone. We are sure, however, that there are still some of our customers who haven't received service yet due to the fact that the storm caused a major disruption in our communication abilities.

I was out of power from Thursday morning at 5:30 AM until Friday evening at 9:00 PM. Internet service to my home still hasn't been restored. Therefore, I have been unable to communicate effectively with the drivers, and I have been unable to respond to customer emails until today when I was able to get back into the office. Needless to say, there is a huge backlog of emails, but please rest assured that I will get back to you as soon as humanly possible.

The telephone is still down, but we are working with the telephone companies to try to figure out what is wrong with it.

I am asking all of our customers for an abundance of grace while we work to catch up on those stops that we missed from the hurricane, as well as the changes that we are implementing across the board. To say that the last month has been difficult is an understatement. However, we pledge that we are working to make our service the best there is, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Do not fret if you cannot call in to make a payment. Send an email to me, and I can forward you a link to pay the invoice online, or we can always take a check or money order payment via mail to the post office box.

10-28-2020 - ***WEATHER ALERT***

The National Weather Service has placed the entirety of our service area under a Tropical Storm Warning. Expected rainfall amounts are between 2-6 inches and 20-40 MPH sustained winds with gusts up to 60 MPH between 3 AM and Noon tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, 2020.

These conditions will make our routes unsafe for both our customers and our employees. The safety of our customers and their property, our employees and our equipment are our utmost priorities.

With this in mind, we will monitor the weather situation tomorrow, but we have a tentative plan to start our Thursday routes at NOON, once the weather has begun to move out. If the situation is still dangerous at that time, then we may be forced to cancel tomorrow's route.

Please understand, that if there are downed power lines, trees across roadways, roadway flooding, or any other dangerous circumstance, then we may not be able to service your location. We ask for an abundance of patience and understanding during this situation.

The office will be closed tomorrow. However, we will try to monitor the email account (if we have power) and will try to answer as many emails as possible.  The telephone is still down due to the switch of providers. We hope to have that fixed completely by Monday.

10-26-2020 - WE ARE TEMPORARILY SUSPENDING THE ACCEPTANCE OF NEW CUSTOMERS.  We are restructuring our routes and in the process of purchasing new trucks.  We know this may cause an inconvenience for new customers, but we do not anticipate that this situation will last very long.  Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

10-23-2020 - Dear Elite Customers.  We have new drivers on all of our routes this week.  As a result, we are experiencing increased failed stops on our routes.  Today's route (Friday) is running extremely late.  If your location was not serviced today, then it will be serviced tomorrow (Saturday).  We truly apologize for this inconvenience and thank you all for your patience during this period of growing pains.

09-15-2020 - NOTICE OF PRICE CHANGE:  VALET SERVICE

Starting March 15, 2021, we will begin charging a $10.00 per month ($30.00 per quarter) valet surcharge to all valet accounts.  This surcharge is to offset increased insurance liability, increased route times, and wear and tear on our vehicles.  Each valet location requires multiple 3-6 point turns in order to turn the trucks around which causes increased wear on tires, suspension, etc, as well as the added liability risk involved with making entrance onto someone's personal property.  Servicing a valet location takes, on average, 10 times longer than a usual curbside service.  We hate to have to charge for this service, but with all of the factors considered, the service is swiftly becoming unsustainable without the surcharge.  Please contact the office if you have questions or concerns about this upcoming change.

Everyone at Elite Sanitation and Waste LLC, like so many in our community, is concerned with the unprecedented global challenges that we are facing due to coronavirus (COVID-19).  Please be assured that during this time of uncertainty, the health and safety of our Drivers and Customers are our highest priorities. In addition to monitoring guidance from local, national and global health organizations, we are taking precautionary measures to ensure that our drivers minimize risks.

Effective Immediately: 

  • ALL garbage must be bagged.  Please bag all garbage so that our drivers can be as “touch free” as possible. Unbagged garbage must be removed from your bin by hand, and therefore will remain unserviced. This does not include cardboard boxes or items too large to fit in the can.

 

  • For the foreseeable future, we will be unable to accept payments that are attached to the garbage bins or payments made by cash.  Please DO NOT mail cash!  The drivers will not be accepting any payments.

 

  • We accept checks and money orders via mail to the Post Office Box.  We also accept credit or debit card, bank draft, or Apple Pay via online emailed invoicing.  If you would like to sign up for email invoicing, then please call or email us.

 

  • ALL drivers will utilize protective measures, including but not limited to wearing gloves when servicing cans, utilizing hand sanitation measures, and wearing protective clothing.

 

  • We encourage ALL customers to wash their hands using soap and warm water per CDC guidelines after touching their garbage bin.
